Welcome to The Salty Log. By accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of our dive travel blog and any services provided through the site. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our platform.

  • Intellectual Property: All content, including texts, marine photography, customized logbook templates, and travel itineraries published on The Salty Log, are the exclusive intellectual property of the business owners. Users are granted a limited license to view and print materials for personal, non-commercial use. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation is strictly prohibited.

  • User Conduct: We encourage a community of professional and respectful divers. You agree not to use the site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, publishing defamatory comments, or interfering with other users' enjoyment of the site.

  • Disclaimer and Liability: The information provided on The Salty Log is for educational and inspirational purposes, specifically designed for divers with appropriate certifications. Diving is an inherently risky activity. We are not liable for any incidents, accidents, or injuries occurring during independent expeditions prompted by content on this site. Divers are responsible for their own safety and specialized equipment checks.

Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy

The Salty Log maintains a structured booking process to ensure the highest safety and logistical standards for our remote dive expeditions. Each step is designed to prepare you for the underwater adventure ahead.

Deposit & Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than four (4) months prior to the trip departure date.

  • Bookings made within four (4) months of the departure date require full payment at the time of booking.

  • Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking, and all payments made will be forfeited.

Cancellation Policy

  • The 50% deposit is non-refundable.

  • Once the final payment has been made, all payments are non-refundable.

  • No refunds or credits will be given for any unused portion of the trip, including missed dives, late arrivals, early departures, or voluntary changes by the guest.

Changes & Availability

  • Trip dates, itineraries, vessels, accommodations, and prices are subject to change without prior notice due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control.

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the operator.

Travel Insurance

  • Travel and dive insurance is strongly recommended. Your insurance should include coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, diving accidents, evacuation, baggage loss, and other unforeseen circumstances. Travel and dive insurance is mandatory for selected trips only.

  • Guests are responsible for arranging their own insurance prior to departure.

Additional Information

  • Guests are responsible for arranging their own flights, visas, airport transfers (unless otherwise stated), and any applicable taxes.

  • Any bank transfer, PayPal, credit card, or other payment processing fees are the responsibility of the guest.

  • Flight schedules, weather conditions, sea conditions, water temperature, and marine life sightings are beyond our control and may vary.
